BIOMAT’s successful 1st Call for its Open Tender has offered access, with no cost, to disruptive services directed at the Construction & Building, Automotive and Furniture & Bedding sectors. The Project has recently launched the 2nd Call, available until September 15th through an easy online application process, which was extended to encompass more target markets.
To reach additional areas, the applications are now open to other technology domains, such as lightweight nano-enabled multifunctional materials and components, nano-enabled surfaces and membranes, and bio-based nano-materials and solutions.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups or any other interested parties may apply for highly innovative technologies transfer and supporting services to produce, test and upscale, free of charge, sustainable nano-enabled bio-based polyurethane (PUR) foams and composites.
The goal is to provide entities with conditions that allow them to advance in nano-enabled polyurethanes technologies, and implement and invest in new bio-based solutions, increasing their competitiveness, production efficiency and sustainability. BIOMAT aims to cover the entire polyurethane (PUR) product value chain and development scales, from laboratory validation to pre-industrial prototypes, while reducing costs and investment risk and accelerating the European green transition.
