BIOMAT was presented at IndTech2022, the International Conference on Industrial Technologies, from June 27th until the 29th in Grenoble, France. At the event, the Project was introduced to several European SMEs. They learned more about accessing BIOMAT’s multidisciplinary technologies and Partners’ state-of-the-art facilities.
The current practices in European Industry do not foresee a sustainable future. This was the premise that motivated the convention to address several current topics related to BIOMAT’s goals and accelerate the sustainability of the European Bioeconomy. The Project will meet these needs by promoting green and digital transition and circularity with emerging cutting-edge technologies.
It was explained to those who attended the event how BIOMAT will establish an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) to transform the Building & Construction, Furniture & Bedding and Automotive sectors with innovative solutions. This will be accomplished by transforming the typical polyurethane foams and components into sustainable, cost-effective, biobased and nano-enabled alternatives.
IndTech2022 is a platform that aims to be “an impetus towards improving the visibility of industrial technologies, identifying policy options and priorities, sharing of information and comparison of points of views, as well as a space for networking and finding common goals among industry stakeholders.”
