The BIOMAT Project was disseminated by our partner Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) at the international Sol-Gel Conference 2022, held in Lyon, France, from July 24th until today, the 29th.
The presentation addressed the synthesis and optimisation of high-performance polyurethane aerogels for thermal insulation, their characteristics and targeted markets.
BIOMAT is a highly innovative European Project which aims to transform the typical PUR foams into a sustainable, cost-effective, biobased and nano-enabled alternative bio-PUR. The Open Innovation Test Bed being established by the Project is the key to a more sustainable Europe.
SOLGEL 2022 gathered experts in materials/nanomaterials, inorganics, hybrids and polymers, crossing the frontiers between academy and industry and covering all aspects of design from fundamental research to applications.
