26 international partners from Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, Latvia, Spain, United Kingdom, and Israel form the BIOMAT’s consortium. They are all significant active players in research and development focused on the Building, Construction, Automotive, Furniture & Bedding sectors.
The Open Innovation Test Bed, to be established by BIOMAT-TB will accelerate a sustainable European bioeconomy.
The development of a set of multidisciplinary technologies to produce biobased PUR foams, with high-performance nano-fillers, adhesives, or bio-polyols, will be complemented with processes for inline monitoring, digital twin pilots, nanosafety, and characterization methodologies.
Furthermore, horizontal relevant services such as business plans, LCC and LCA studies, and funds raising will also be provided at fair conditions and cost, by the BIOMAT-TB.
This platform aims to promote innovative processes and novel nano-enabled biobased materials, for an extensive range of applications, responding to the European market's economic, societal, and environmental needs.
