BIOMAT promotes a free workshop, with an online transmission, on June 22nd, from 10:00 to 15:00 (CET), at CNR-IPCB Institute – Portici Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials, one of BIOMAT’s partners, in Naples, Italy. Under the theme “Working with SMEs to create a more sustainable Europe”, our partners will present the Project’s 12 Pilot Lines, which will provide technology transfer for nano-enabled biopolymers (bio polyurethane).
Thus, BIOMAT-TB is a gateway to a wide range of highly advanced technologies transfer accompanied by relevant services to boost European SMEs' innovation and growth. The innovative European Project aims to revolutionise the Building, Construction, Automotive, Furniture & Bedding industries by transforming the typical PUR foams into a sustainable, cost-effective, biobased and nano-enabled alternative.
Besides lifting Europe's competitiveness, BIOMAT will have a significant impact on several fields, such as sustainable production of biobased plastics and ecological materials, reduction of energy consumption in the industrial mentioned sectors and will be the origin of new jobs and a new generation of highly-skilled personnel in research and development of biobased materials and recycling technologies for product innovation.
Through the BIOMAT-TB, the Project will provide access to its physical facilities and resources, allowing the development, testing and upscaling of ground-breaking bio polyurethane foams. At the event, attendees will get to know more and understand how they may profit from this set of multidisciplinary technologies and innovative processes by pioneering research centres and companies.
