BIOMAT's partner CNR - National Research Council of Italy was present at the 5th National Conference of Rigid Polyurethane Foam in Italy to publicise the Project. The event took place on May 12, at the Centro Congressi Città della Scienza, in Naples.
BIOMAT and the establishment of the Project’s Open Innovation Test Bed were promoted at the event. By transforming the typical PUR foams into a sustainable, cost-effective, biobased and nano-enabled alternative, the Project intends to revolutionise the Construction market.
Under the motto "TODAY for TOMORROW", the Conference intended to underline the commitment of the polyurethane industrial sector to contribute, with innovations and resources, to a more eco-friendly and circular economy. The initiative focused on the Construction sector evidenced the need for a global rethinking of materials and design and manufacture processes.
The 5th National Conference of Rigid Polyurethane Foam, organised by ANPE - National Association of Rigid Polyurethane Foam, was a meeting point between institutions, manufacturing industries, the academic world, professionals and operators of the several areas related to the technological and application evolution of polyurethanes.
The future has to privilege energy efficiency, the protection of the environment and the reduction of resources used and their reuse!
